Abstract

We utilize four-wave mixing in the LP0,7 mode of a multi-mode fiber to achieve spatially coherent monomode 16-kW peak-power pulses at 974nm, of interest for realizing power-scalable, compact blue lasers in a monolithic fiber geometry.
