Simultaneous Amplification of Multiple 2 μm Vortex Beams

Abstract

The generation and simultaneous amplification of multiple 2 µm vortex beams with orbital angular momentum is demonstrated in a Ho:YAG rod amplifier. Simulations predict the amplifier’s potential in power scaling and in spatial division multiplexing.
