Abstract

We report the first laser emissions from a fiber-shaped crystal of Pr3+:LiLuF4, grown with the micro-Pulling Down method, achieving high-grade slopes with diffraction-limited output beams. Segregation in the crystal was remarkably high for Praseodymium ions.
