Pulse Picking Scheme with Synchronized Acousto-Optic Modulator Carrier Frequency

Abstract

We demonstrate an alternative approach facilitating the use of a travelling-wave type acousto-optic modulator to pick pulses from a high-repetition-rate carrier-envelope phase-stable pulse train where Pockels cells cannot be employed due to piezoelectric ringing.
