Broaden femtosecond Yb:YCOB laser pulse to octave-spanning spectrum by tapered fiber

Abstract

By launching 130-fs Yb:YCOB laser pulse into a tapered single mode fiber, more than one octave-spanning supercontinuum was generated under 620 mW input power at the repetition rate of 100MHz.
