Yb3+-doped LuLiF4 crystal for cryogenic optical refrigeration

Abstract

The Yb3+-doped LuLiF4 crystal is cooled by the laser at 1015 nm utilizing the resonant cavity enhancement. The results showed Yb3+-doped LuLiF4 crystal holds promising applications in all-solid-state cryogenic optical refrigeration.
