Modelocking and Femtosecond Pulse Generation in Chip-Based Frequency Combs

Abstract

We show experimentally under suitable conditions that frequency combs generated via parametric mixing in chip-based micro resonators can exhibit modelocking and femtosecond pulse generation at repetition rates exceeding 100 GHz.
