Abstract

High-power gigahertz SESAM modelocked diode-pumped Yb-doped solid-state lasers are ideal sources for stable low-noise frequency combs with high power per spectral line. Our recent gigahertz oscillators have generated multi-Watt average output powers with sub-100-fs pulses and enable the detection of strong carrier-envelope-offset frequency beats.
