Demonstration of grating mirrors with high diffraction efficiency for pulse compression

Abstract

We present experimental investigations of grating mirrors with high diffraction efficiencies exceeding 99.7% in the -1st order for TE polarization. Used for chirped pulse amplification with 4 passes the total compression efficiency was 92%.
