Modal Content Measurement by the S2 Method of a Top-Hat Beam Output Fiber

Abstract

We present modal content measurements of microstructured fibers designed to deliver flattened intensity beams. They prove without ambiguities that we realized a large-mode-area fiber which is really single-mode and delivers a spatially coherent top-hat beam.
