Dy:fluoroindate Fiber Laser at 4.5 µm with Cascade Lasing

Abstract

Lifetime and spectral measurements along with numerical modeling suggest that efficient lasing at ~4.5 µm is feasible in a Dy doped fluoroindate glass fiber laser, using a cascade lasing scheme.
