Abstract

We report on the development of an all-solid-state high power UV system, which has generated tunable output between 237 and 243 nm. These wavelengths are produced by the sum-frequency-mixing in CLBO of a gain-switched, injection-seeded Ti:sapphire laser with the third harmonic of a diode-pumped, Q-switched Nd:YLF MOPA system. Operating at 242 nm, over 2.0W of average power has been demonstrated at a repetition rate of 5kHz.
