Nd-doped mixed scandium garnets for compositional tuning to 944.1 nm and improved laser performance around 945 nm

Abstract

Compositional tuning of Nd3+ em1ss1on lines in mixed-scandiumgarnet crystals is presented. Spectroscopy and CW laser performance in the 940 nm and 1064 nm regions are characterized. Fluorescence line position and linewidths are reported.
