Abstract
We present a laser system producing tunable picosecond pulses in the near infrared with an energy up to 4.5 µJ at 10 kHz repetition rate. The source is based on a diode- pumped Cr:LiSAF oscillator and on a Ti:Sapphire regenerative amplifier excited by a frequency-doubled Q- Switched diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser. After doubling and tripling in two LBO crystals, we obtained UV pulses with an energy up to 0.14 µJ tunable between 273 and 286 nm.
