High-Power Near Diffraction-Limited and Single-Frequency Operation of Yb:YAG Thin Disc Laser

Abstract

Operation of Yb:YAG thin disc lasers with output powers as high as 84 W and total optical efficiencies of up to 64 % as well as single-frequency operation with Pout = 19W, ηopt. = 41%, and M2 = 1.09 is presented.
