Abstract

We report on the efficient operation of cw mode-locked singly resonant ps and fs optical parametric oscillators of noncritically and quasi noncritically phase-matched KTiOPO4 (KTP). The OPOs are synchronously pumped either by self-mode-locked ps/fs-Ti:sapphire laser or by a cw mode-locked Nd:YLF laser for the generation of powerful ultrashort pulses from the near to the mid-IR up to 3.3 μm.
