Abstract
Ti:chrysoberyl is shown to be a high-saturation-fluence amplification material for Titsapphire lasers. A 52dB gain is demonstrated using a confocal 6-pass pre-amplifier configuration. The pulse energy of 3 mJ is achieved for the Ti:chrysoberyl-Ti:sapphire hybrid amplifier system.
