Laser Operation of Cr:LiSAF and Cr:LiSGaF Pumped by Alexandrite

Abstract

Output power of 9.2 Watts was obtained from a 5 mm diameter × 6 cm segmented Cr:LiSAF system with an observed slope efficiency of 58% relative to the input energy absorbed when pumped by an alexandrite laser.
