Abstract

Absorption and fluorescence spectra and the fluorescence lifetime of Nd0.04Y0.96Al3(BO3)4 were measured. The refractive indices were measured at several wavelengths through the visible to near infrared spectral regions. Diode pumped tem00 mode 1.06μm and 0.53μm lasers were demonstrated.
