Abstract

ASN* is a new material, related to LNA, with better laser behavior than its predecessor. Laser experiments were performed, demonstrating efficient diode-pumped laser output and tunability in the one-micron band. Tenfold efficiency increases are seen, as compared to conventional flashlamp pumping.
