Abstract

A Cr:GSAG laser pumped Tm:Ho:YAG laser has been fabricated and tested. A maximum output energy of 14 mJ with a slope efficiency of 33.6% was obtained using a 98% reflective output coupler. A comprehensive rate equation model has been developed to describe laser performance. Details of the experimental measurements and model are presented.
