Development of Electro-optically Tunable and Power-Scalable Diode-Laser-Pumped Nd:YAG Ring Oscillators

Abstract

A unidirectional diode-laser pumped (Nd:YAG + LiNbO3) ring oscillator is tuned electrooptically at a rate of 0.32 MHz/V over a range of 3 GHz. In addition a power-scalable monolithic Nd:YAG ring oscillator is described. Pumped by the 1.2 W output of 4 fiber coupled laser diodes the system generates 370 mW of 1.06 um single frequency radiation.
