Abstract

Loss characteristics were compared for Ti:sapphire supplied by different crystal growers. Pulsed performance of a Ti:sapphire laser when pumped by a doubled Nd:YAG laser was investigated. In addition, the basic spectroscopy of Czochralski-grown Ti:YALO was studied.
