Abstract

We will describe our results in obtaining high power single-longitudinal mode operation with alexandrite by two injection-locking techniques, conventional injection-locking and a novel self-injection-locking method which requires only a single laser cavity. An alexandrite laser for water vapor DIAL investigations near 727 nm, designed using this self-injection-locking technique, will also be described.
