Abstract

With the rapid development of femtosecond laser technology, terahertz technology has been rapid development, especially the terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS), which is based on the principle of coherent detection. In addition, most of the background noise is removed during the detection and sampling process, thus resulting in a high signal-to-noise ratio. In view of the many advantages of THz-TDS, it can will be used to detect a variety of beverage samples in the 0.2THz~1.2THz region range. The experimental results show that different kinds of beverages have many different characteristics between the spectra 0.2THz and 1.2THz. By using the characteristic terahertz spectra of beverages, we can differentiate and identify the drinks.
