Yb/Ce-doped Aluminosilicate Laser Fiber

Abstract

To remarkably suppress photodarkening, a Yb/Ce-codoped aluminosilicate fiber with Ce/Yb ratio of 0.4~0.8 was fabricated by chelate precursor doping technique. 1.13 kW laser output at ~1064.5 nm was obtained with an optical-to-optical efficiency of 83%.
