Fiber Laser Ultrasound Detector With Enhanced Sensitivity for Photoacoustic Imaging Applications

Abstract

A beat-frequency encoded fiber laser ultrasound probe has been demonstrated for photoacoustic imaging applications. Experimental result suggests the imaging contrast can be enhanced by shortening the laser cavity.
