Single-Shot True Distributed Strain Variation Measurements Over >10 km Using Phase-Sensitive OTDR with Chirped Pulses

Abstract

Single-shot, true strain dynamic measurements with few nε resolution over >10 km are achieved with a ΦOTDR employing linearly chirped pulses. Strain variations at frequencies up to 4 kHz can be monitored over this distance.
