Abstract
The Fabry-Perot (FP) type interferometric high temperature sensor formed with double fiber cavities is proposed and its performance is demonstrated. The reflection spectrum of the fabricated FP interferometer was measured at several temperatures and analyzed in its Fourier domain. The proposed FP sensor was tested up to 1000°C and the results showed that it could be utilized as a precise high temperature sensor.
