Cladding Glass Development for Semiconductor Core Optical Fibers

Abstract

Cladding glass compositions have been developed to minimize thermal expansion mismatch in the glass clad crystalline core fibers. These tailored compositions have also shown to reduce oxygen content in the fibers.
