Twofold enhancement of the gain bandwidth in two pumps fiber optical parametric chirped pulse amplifiers

Abstract

We demonstrate with realistic numerical simulations that the gain bandwidth of two pumps fiber optical parametric chirped amplifiers can be twice as large as the one of a single pump configuration. This property is unique to chirped signals and should allow the amplification of tens of femtosecond duration pulses in these amplifiers.
