Nonlinear Dynamics of Micro-Resonator Based Optical Parametric Oscillators

Abstract

We study the dynamics of hyper-parametric oscillation in high-Q CaF2 and MgF2 optical ring micro-resonators. Hard and soft excitation of oscillation, mode locking regimes, and super-mode competition are investigated.
