Converged In-home Networks using 1-mm Core Size Plastic Optical Fiber

Abstract

Broadband wireline and wireless transmission system over 1-mm core size 50-m long POF is discussed. Transmission capacity of 2.2 Gbit/s DMT and 528-MHz UWB wireless signals is achieved, having performance complying with requirements.
