Fabrication of Active Waveguides using Femtosecond Lasers

Abstract

The successful development of femtosecond lasers has enabled the use of ultrafast laser inscription for device fabrication. I will describe how light-matter interactions have been harnessed for waveguide lasers development in a variety of materials.
