Abstract

In this study, SrMgAl2SiO7:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor with color coordination of x = 0.232, y = 0.128 was synthesized via sol–gel method and the phase condition and morphology of it were studied. Also, the effect of Dy on the luminescence properties of the mentioned phosphor has been systematically evaluated. Finally, the above-experimental results showed that although Dy decreases the emission intensity, but can obviously improve the afterglow characteristic.
