Abstract

Waveguide structures were fabricated in chromium-doped zinc selenide (Cr2+:ZnSe) using ultrafast laser inscription. To achieve optimal results, the multi-scan fabrication technique was used. Waveguiding was confirmed through near-field imaging of the 1550 nm guided mode.
