Fluorescence Lifetime Sensing of Temperature with Erbium Doped Lead Germano Tellurite Glass

Abstract

A noncontact and nondestructive method is described for optical sensing of temperature by measuring laser excited fluorescence from erbium doped glass. Temperature calibration plot has been developed from room temperature to 600°C.
