Optical Filtering Impairment Monitoring Based on Artificial Neural Network in Coherent Receiver

Abstract

A digital signal processing (DSP)-aided scheme to monitor optical filtering impairments based on artificial neural network (ANN) is proposed. A root-mean-square error (RMSE) of 0.1-dB is achieved in highly diverse link configurations.
