Abstract

We experimentally demonstrated the first 56 Gbit/s/λ PAM-4 IM/DD system transmission over 120 km SSMF at O-band assisted by cascaded SOAs with the bandwidth-limited optics and simple DSP for high-speed DCI in metro-access networks.
