Pencil-beam scanning catheter for intravascular optical coherence tomography

Abstract

A structure-simplified pencil-beam scanning probe is demonstrated for intravascular optical coherence tomography catheters. In vivo imaging capability of this catheter is verified by a clinical system with a stent-implanted beating porcine heart as the sample.
