Abstract

A low-complexity AI-based digital predistortion technique is proposed. It compensates nonlinearities of Mach-Zehnder modulators in high power optical transmitters. A link budget of 19.1dB for a 400ZR system over an unamplified 40km-SSFM link was achieved.
