Probabilistic Shaping Modulation Scheme for Free Space Optical System

Abstract

We propose a probabilistic shaping scheme over FSO links. Simulation results show 1.25 and 1.18 dB OSNR improvement attained at the BER of 10–6 in mitigating the effects of scintillation and phase noise respectively.
