Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate the 2×37.5 Gb/s optical SSB Nyquist-PAM-4 signal mode-multiplexed transmission between two degenerate modes with direct-detection. The mode coupling crosstalk of two degenerate modes is mitigated by MIMO DSP, and the BER performance is increased by an average of two orders of magnitude at -8 dBm ROP.
