Capacity Analysis of Opto-electronic THz Earth-satellite Links

Abstract

We theoretically analyze the feasibility of establishing geostationary-satellite-to-earth-station (GEO-ES) links in the THz bands with relatively low-atmospheric loss. The capacities of GEO-ES opto-electronic links are evaluated based on the link model.
