Mode Converters Based on Long-Period Fiber Gratings in a Two-Mode Fiber at 2-μm Waveband

Abstract

We demonstrate the fabrication of mode converters based on long-period fiber gratings at 2-μm waveband. The results show that the mode converters have maximum conversion efficiency over 98.5% with 10-dB bandwidth of ~ 63 nm.
