Abstract

We demonstrated a novel gas refractive index (RI) sensor with high sensitivity based on hollow-core photonics bandgap fiber (HC-PBF) and Fourier transform white-light interference technique. Static gas RI change in the order of 10–6 RIU can be achieved by the proposed sensor.
