KNN-Aided SVM Symbol Decision for 16-QAM Coherent Optical System with Nonlinear Phase Noise

Abstract

A KNN-aided SVM algorithm is proposed to perform symbol decision for received 16-QAM signal aggravated by NLPN. The simulation demonstrates that the proposed algorithm can improve the nonlinear tolerance compared with traditional SVM scheme.
