Investigation of radiation effect on single-mode fiber for distributed radiation sensing application

Abstract

We investigated radiation effect on single-mode fiber using OTDR technique. The experiment results show that real-time radiation dose distribution can be estimated with high spatial resolution by using a fiber with optimized radiation induced attenuation.
