Statistical Distribution and Correlation Properties of Intercore Crosstalk in Weakly-Coupled MCFs

Abstract

We show experimentally that the intercore crosstalk (ICXT) power induced by multiple interferers in weakly-coupled multicore fibers is well modeled by a chi-square distribution with four degrees of freedom and by uncorrelated ICXT field components.
