Abstract
A chaotic generator in wavelength using a tunable fiber laser with fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is proposed. This generator of chaos is composed of tunable laser, FBG and hybrid delayed feedback loop. FBG induces the wavelength nonlinearity. The laser itself plays a part in delay time which is induced by PZT device. The novel chaotic generator is realized. The chaos behaviors are observed by experiments. The chaos system offers a high flexibility, so it can be used to mask the signal in the optical encryption communication system.
